The only thing that I still want is the icons on the top 0 Permalink Mustafa Kohistani March 25, 2013 00:39 After using this for a few hours now, I can address a few things which are made slightly harder to work with: * Task worksheet was a GREAT tool, now it has been removed - the new gantt chart does not replace all the features but mostly the "ease of use" for task sheet * The AJAX loading now loads on click of each field, not even changed. This is a little annoying * Viewing a task is not the same as before, I think just getting used to new toolbar is a little difficult The most important one so far is the task sheet, if this can be added again, that would be great. 0 Permalink Joe Borghi March 26, 2013 17:21 I notice there are a lot less reports (Projects by Scheduled Health-PM, Project Activity Log, etc... gone). Also, I agree with above, bring back the Task Worksheet. the Gantt chart isn't nearly as useful. 0 Permalink Francisco March 26, 2013 22:29 I would also agree with Mustafa and Joe. Bring back the Task Worksheet since every small change creates a screen redraw that lasts 30 seconds for me. I have many things to update and it takes sooo long to do anything because of the constant refreshing. Would rather have the worksheet where I can just update after multiple changes. 0 Permalink Project Office 1 April 05, 2013 13:05 Please bring back the Task worksheet. I told you to leave that feature alone no matter the advancements you bring. We will tell you when to discontinue this feature, so far it is the only thing that is really fast when we have to deal with projects of many lines. Today we have projects that are 800 lines long and we can't wait on every entry. 0 Permalink Eduardo Escalera April 07, 2013 01:41 I highly recomend to bring back the "Task Worksheet". This was a very useful tool. 0 Permalink Mustafa Kohistani April 07, 2013 22:14 From what everyone is experiencing, the "Task worksheet" is definitely something that needs to come back. I agree, no replacement can be the same as Task Worksheet since it had the simplicity and speed to the work done much faster. We provide SaaS solution to our customers as well and it was highly disliked to use AJAX in all fields that posts-back to refresh the data. Therefore, we have moved away from using AJAX in every field as much as possible. Please consider this as a valid request that comes from many of your users. 0 Permalink Jan-Eric Myhrgren April 30, 2013 08:21 I also agree. We used the Task Worksheet very often and would like you to bring it back. 0 Permalink Luis Manuel May 10, 2013 15:44 We have start work strong with this application, and now we have something like 500 lines, where the reload of screen for each update takes sooo long to do anything.... I do not remember the "Task Worksheet", but if it's a good thing, and if can be done separetly,.. why not get this back ? 0 Permalink David Hamilton May 20, 2013 15:35 When will 6.0 be available for hosted customers? 0 Permalink David Hamilton May 31, 2013 14:54 Rashmi, you were a great help working out security settings for me as a new Celoxis user. V6.0 is more intuitive for setting security for roles etc. There is one suggestion I would like to make for a future update of Celoxis. It would be nice if you could set the hierarchy for security levels. What I mean by this is that I personally would like the object level security setting to trump the company level security setting. I'm sure many users are just fine with the current security setting but allowing adjustable hierarchy seems the best way to solve this for all users. The way I understand it now this is the current and only security hierarchy: 1. company level 2. project level 3. task level 4. folder level 5. object level In my case it would be much more helpful to set it as 1. object level 2. company level 3. project level 4. task level 5. folder level It seems that the current security settings are more geared towards companies that deny most access to their employees. In my case I like to allow most access and only restrict a few files. By making the object level at hierarchy #1 I can "grant" access to folders and documents at the company level and then just deny the few files I want restricted at the object level and this will trump the company level on only these few files where I set a security. The rest of my files I would leave unspecified at the object level and the company level "grant" would apply leaving access to all other files with the least amount of work for the administrator. Because I realize other users may want a different hierarchy I think the best solution would be to allow administrators to set the hierarchy. If I am not understanding how security works and you have another solution to this problem, please let me know. Thank you. 0 Permalink David Hamilton May 31, 2013 16:58 Another idea that I had for you guys to do get the same thing out of the above post...add a radio button "override" or whatever you want to call it. This way you can force and allow or deny on a given object regardless of it's parent security settings. This would be very helpful on those few items which are outliers...i.e. I only want to deny one file out of 100. In my case the only way I can currently do this is leave everything above the object level unspecified and then manually "allow" 99 objects and leave the last one unspecified or denied...that's a LOT of work! Again, I'm open to suggestions if I'm missing something and there is a better way to do this. Thanks 0 Permalink Joe Borghi May 31, 2013 18:02 Is 6.0 available for hosted customers? 0 Permalink David Hamilton May 31, 2013 18:07 Joe, yes it is. We are hosted and just upgraded to 6.0 last night. 0 Permalink Joe Borghi June 03, 2013 18:08 How do I get a copy of Version 6.0? 0 Permalink Please sign in to leave a comment.
