Celoxis v15.1 introduces powerful new features to help you visualize project progress, connect Celoxis with external applications, work from mobile devices, and synchronize data more efficiently.
This release also includes important platform and security improvements designed to provide a safer, more reliable Celoxis experience.
Timeline Report: Visualize Your Project Roadmap
Get a clear, high-level view of important project activities with the new Timeline Report.
The Timeline Report displays selected tasks as progress-filled bars on a shared time scale, helping you quickly understand:
- When key activities begin
- How long they are expected to run
- How much progress has been made
- Whether work is progressing according to schedule
Important milestones appear as diamond-shaped markers, while the prominent Today indicator makes it easy to compare current progress with the planned schedule.
Create a Timeline Report
Navigate to:
All Reports → New → Project → Output Type → Timeline
Choose What Appears on the Timeline
Only tasks marked with Show in Timeline are displayed. This allows you to create a focused roadmap that highlights the tasks and milestones most relevant to your customers, stakeholders, and leadership teams.
What You Can Do with the Timeline Report
- View the timeline by Day, Week, Month, or Fit
- Pan across the schedule to explore different periods
- Click a task or milestone to open its details
- View task progress directly on the timeline
- Highlight important milestones
- Track activities and milestones across multiple projects
Where You Can Access the Timeline Report
The Timeline Report is available as:
- A standalone report
- A dashboard widget
- A tab within the Project Overview
Whether you are presenting a roadmap to leadership, reviewing delivery dates, or monitoring major milestones, the Timeline Report provides a simple and visual way to communicate project progress.
Webhooks: Connect External Applications in Real Time
Make your integrations faster and more responsive with the new Webhooks feature.
Celoxis can now automatically notify external applications whenever selected events occur. Configure the events you want to monitor and provide an endpoint URL. When a selected event takes place, Celoxis sends a notification directly to your connected system.
This removes the need for external applications to repeatedly check Celoxis for updates.
How Webhooks Can Help
Webhooks allow you to:
- Trigger automated workflows
- Keep connected systems up to date
- Reduce synchronization delays
- Respond quickly to important changes
- Build faster and more efficient integrations
Webhook Availability and Permissions
Webhooks must be enabled for your Celoxis subscription plan. Availability and pricing may vary depending on your plan.
An administrator must also grant the appropriate Webhooks access-control permissions before users can configure them.
Configure a Webhook
Your administrator can create a Webhook by following these steps:
- Navigate to Admin → Integrations → Webhooks.
- Click Add.
- Enter a descriptive Name.
- Enter the destination URL.
- Click Generate Secret to create a secret code.
- Select the events that should trigger the Webhook.
- Choose the actions that should activate the Webhook.
- Click Save.
Once configured, Celoxis will automatically notify the specified endpoint whenever the selected events and actions occur.
Mobile App: Take Celoxis Wherever You Go
Stay connected to your projects wherever work takes you with the new Celoxis Mobile App, available for both Android and iOS.
Search for Celoxis in the Google Play Store or Apple App Store to download the application.
The Mobile App gives you convenient access to important project information and everyday actions while you are away from your desk.
What You Can Do with the Mobile App
From your mobile device, you can:
- View your timesheet
- Log time against assigned tasks
- View starred reports
- Check task status and progress updates
- Access important project information
- Stay connected with your team
- Synchronize your Celoxis calendar using an iCal link
The iCal link can be used with supported calendar applications, including:
- Google Calendar
- Microsoft Outlook
- Mozilla Calendar
- Evolution
Use the same credentials as your Celoxis web application to sign in to the Mobile App.
Upsert APIs: Simplify Data Synchronization
Integrate external systems with Celoxis more efficiently using the new Upsert APIs.
Upsert APIs are now available for:
- Projects
- Tasks
- App Items
An Upsert API allows an integration to create a record when it does not already exist or update it when a matching record is found—all through a single API request.
Benefits of Upsert APIs
Upsert APIs help you:
- Reduce the number of API requests
- Avoid separate create and update processes
- Simplify integration logic
- Make integrations easier to maintain
- Improve synchronization with external systems
- Reduce the possibility of duplicate records
Learn More About Upsert APIs
Navigate to:
Profile → API → Upserting Entities
The Upserting Entities tab provides more information about configuring and using the available Upsert APIs.
Security Enhancements: Stronger Protection Across Celoxis
Celoxis v15.1 introduces several security enhancements to provide stronger protection for user information, browser communication, account privacy, and application content.
HTML Sanitization and Safer Content Handling
Celoxis now applies enhanced validation and sanitization to user-entered content.
This helps prevent unauthorized or malicious HTML from being displayed within the application, reducing the risk of content spoofing and injection attacks.
Encrypted Credential Communication
User credentials are protected through encrypted communication, helping prevent sensitive information from being exposed while it is transmitted.
Cross-Origin Resource Sharing Protection
Cross-Origin Resource Sharing policies have been strengthened to accept browser-based requests only from trusted origins.
This reduces the risk of unauthorized applications accessing Celoxis resources through cross-origin requests.
Content Security Policy Protection
A Content Security Policy has been introduced to control the sources from which scripts and other browser resources can be loaded.
This provides additional protection against unauthorized content injection and potential information leakage.
HTTP Strict Transport Security
HTTP Strict Transport Security is now enabled.
Supported browsers are instructed to communicate with Celoxis only over HTTPS, helping prevent insecure connections and protocol-downgrade attacks.
Additional Browser Security Headers
Additional security headers have been introduced to strengthen browser-level protection.
These improvements help defend against reflected cross-site scripting attacks and prevent browsers from incorrectly interpreting file or content types.
Improved Forgot Password Privacy
The Forgot Password process now displays the same response regardless of whether the entered account exists.
This prevents unauthorized users from using the password-reset process to identify valid Celoxis accounts.
